Peconic Family Fun Day 2013
May 4 · · Taken at Children’s Museum of the East End – CMEE
Once again FLPG joined with the Children’s Museum of the East End (CMEE) and other local organizations for Peconic Family Fun Day. We had our matching game (guess which item is an antler, a turtle shell, a birds nest, a tree fungus, and a snapping turtle skull) and a new matching game inspired by our Tree ID Trail Brochure – identify the tree from pictures of the leaves (included were Black Oak, Sassafrass, Red Maple, Pignut Hickory, White Oak, and Mountain Laurel). We met a lot of kids (and their parents) who might just be budding naturalists or arborists! Thank you to Dai Dayton, Jean Dodds, and Sandra Ferguson who volunteered for another wonderful day at CMEE.
